Please check the following links for Scholarships available for the 2023-2024 school year.  If a scholarship is red, then I am still waiting on updated information for this year.  However, you can still look at what the scholarship is, what is needed, and when the due date would be based on last year's information.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid - Due to a revision of the FAFSA form, this now opens in December.  The sooner you apply, the more likely you are to receive grants and scholarship opportunities.

College Station ISD Education Foundation Scholarships - open only to CSISD students - applications available in mid-December

Gloria S. Sale/Bryan Coca-Cola Educational Trust Scholarship Application  -The scholarship amount awarded will be between $1000 - $1500 per recipient.  Application requires 3 letters of recommendation and a copy of your transcript and SAT and/or ACT scores.  No GPA requirement.  Applications are due to Ms. Rath  by March 22, 2024.  If you would like a hard copy of the scholarship form, please see Ms. Rath.  .  Click on the name link to go to the application form.

Coca Cola Scholars Program Scholarship - initial application due October 2, 2023.  Eligibility requirements: Current high school senior who will graduate during the 2023-2024 school year and planning to pursue a degree at a US college.  Minimum GPA required is 3.0.  You must submit the initial application by October 2, 2023 to be eligible for scholarships.

Ron Brown Scholar Program - RBSP competitively awards 45 – 50 four-year $40,000 scholarships ($10,000 each year) to the most talented and economically-challenged high school seniors who demonstrate a keen interest in public service, community engagement, business entrepreneurship and global citizenship – the four pillars of the late Ronald H. Brown’s mission to uplift people of all races, cultures and ethnicities – especially our disadvantaged youth.   Recipients may use the renewable scholarships to attend an accredited four-year college or university of their choice within the United States. Ron Brown scholarships are not limited to any specific field or career objective and may be used to pursue any academic discipline.


VFW Youth Scholarships - Voice of Democracy Program - The theme for the 2023-2024 Contest is :What are the greatest attributes of our democracy?"  Due by Midnight, October 31. This is an audio-essay program that provides high school students with the unique opportunity to express themselves in regards to a democratic and patriotic-themed recorded essay.  The national first place winner receives a $35,000 scholarship, but other scholarships given range from $1,000 - $21,000.

American Legion Legacy Scholarship - Provides college funding to children of post-9/11 veterans who died on active duty, or those who have a combined VA disability rating of 50% or greater.  Apply January 1 to April 1.

Scholarships by ACT Score  - A list of scholarships available based on a student's ACT score.

Quest Bridge

Marine Corps Scholarships - The mission of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation is to honor Marines by Educating their Children.   Must be a child or step-child of a Marine or Navy Corpsman, have a minimum GPA of 2.0, demonstrate financial need, and be going to college or trade school.   The application for AY24-25 will open on January 1, 2024.

Wellborn Lions Club Scholarship - Open only to students attending CSISD.  Applications are due to Ms. Rath by February 26, 2024.  Does require letters of recommendation from 2 teachers and a narrative essay about your community service and how it has impacted you. 

Unigo Scholarship Opportunities - offers a variety of scholarships to apply for once you create your Unigo account.  Scholarships range from $500 - $50000. Some scholarships require no essay and others require a short (200-400 words) essay over a fun topic.  For example, if you were to be alive during a zombie apocalypse, how would you survive?

Cirkled In Scholarships  - Allows students to build a portfolio to connect with colleges and apply for scholarhips.

College Board Opportunity Scholarships - Allows students to apply for scholarships via their College Board account.

Jackie Robinson Scholarship - The Jackie Robinson Foundation provides a multi-faceted experience designed to not only address the financial needs of students who aspire to attend college but to guide them through the process of higher education.  Application opens September 1, 2023 and is due January 10, 2024.

Nina Heard Astin Scholarship - Applicants must graduate from a Brazos County school and have a minimum GPA of 2.5.  Applications are due February 1, 2024.

Doris Floyd Thomas Scholarship - This scholarship is for students who are interested in nursing.  Minimum GPA of 3.0 required.  Application is due no later than February 1, 2024
 
Arts Council Scholarships - The Arts Council of Brazos Valley awards multiple scholarships each year to deserving young artists in the Brazos Valley. The scholarships are open to all graduating High School seniors in Brazos county who will attend an accredited college with a course of study in the arts, culture, or heritage fields.  Individual scholarship awards range from $3000 - $5200.  Due February 24 at 5:00 pm. 

Hispanic Forum Scholarships- Applicant must be a graduating senior from a Bryan or College Station high school.  Requires a minimum of one letter of recommendation.  Applications will open mid-January.  Applications are due by March 31, 2024. 

Bluebonnet Quilt Guild Scholarship (requires photos/copies of artwork) -Application is now open and due no later than March 15, 2024.  Please click on the name for the link to the application.

National Society Daughters of the American Revolution - LaVillita Chapter Scholarship -$1,000 scholarship.  Applicant may be male or female.  Must give proof of US Citizenship. Applications due April 1, 2024. Click on link above for the guidelines.  Click below for the application.

Scholarships for Women

DAR Scholarships - Online Application  is open from November 1, 2023 through January 31, 2024.  DAR awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of higher education in diverse areas of study including history, economics, law, political science, medicine, nursing, occupational and physical therapy, elementary and secondary education, chemistry, math, science and English.

HEB UIL Scholarship - Community service scholarship for students who have participated in a UIL event.  Application deadline is February 3, 2024 at 11:59 pm.  Requirements are minimum 3.3 GPA,  documentation of community service hours, letter of recommendation, and short essay on "What does Community mean to you?"

College Station ISD Education Foundation Scholarships- Deadline is March 1, 2024.  Multiple scholarships are available for both academic colleges and vocational schools.  Only students enrolled in CSISD schools are eligible.

B&J Scholarship - The PB&J Scholarship is for students who have experienced personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically, but still have the drive to succeed.  There is no GPA requirement for this scholarship is meant to be inclusive.  Deadline: May 31

CSISD PTO Scholarship - Each CSISD school's PTO will be awarding a scholarship to a senior who attended that school for at least 2 years.  A student may apply for a scholarship for each campus for which they meet this requirement.  Deadline is March 8, 2024. George H.W. Bush High School Public Service Scholarship - Recognizes high school seniors in the Bryan-College Station school districts based on academic excellence and community service.  Each recipient receives a $3000 scholarship and their high school receives a grant of $2500 for education purposes. Only one student per school may be nominated.  Students who are eligible for this scholarship will be given application information.  The completed application for the nominee is due to Ms. Rath by April 1.  Requires 3.5 GPA, letter of recommendation, and school and community involvement.

Garden Club Scholarship - $1500 scholarship awarded to a student living in District V (Brazos County and 28 surrounding counties) with a 3.0 GPA or better who will be a freshman or sophomore in college next fall.  If you have an interest in horticulture, floriculture, landscape design, conservation, forestry, botany, land and water management,  or a related field, please apply.  Applicants will need an endorsement letter from the A&M Garden Club.  If you would like to apply for this, please see Ms. Rath regarding the endorsement letter.  Applications are due before March 1.




Mirabeau Lamar Scholarship - due in April to Ms. Rath.  Winner receives a certificate, medal and $1000.

Order of the Eastern Star, Bryan Chapter #222 - $500 Scholarship to a Brazos Valley high school student who will be entering an accredited college/university the fall semester after graduation.  Due February 26, 2024. Click on link to apply.

Brazos Valley Credit Union Scholarship - Provides five $2000 scholarships to deserving high school graduates who are members of the credit union. If not a current member, must join by March 20, 2023.   Must have GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Essay required.  Deadline:  March 20, 2023.  Click on link to apply.

Texas Telephone Association Foundation Scholarship (TTAF) - TTAF is a non-profit, philanthropic organization founded to help further the understanding of telephony and advance telecommunications as a career choice, will award six, four-year scholarships, in the amount of $2,000 per year to students entering college for the 2023-2024 school year.    Basic requirements include minimun GPA of 3.0 and planning to attend a Texas college by Fall 2023.  Applications are due no later than March 31, 2023.  Click on the name above for the complete application and guidelines.

Region 6 Max W. Schlotter Scholarship - The Max W. Schlotter Scholarship, in the amount of $1000, will be awarded to two Region 6 graduating seniors (December 2022 or May 2023) who plan to major in education.  The students must pursue an education in a Texas college or university.  Please click on the name for more information. Applications are due no later than April 1, 2023.

Fiestas Patrias Mexicanas -The Fiestas Patrias Mexicanas of Bryan/College Station is a non-profit organization founded in the early 1990s.  Each year they organize a cultural celebration parade, which brings an estimated 10,000 people to the Historical Downtown Bryan District.  As part of the celebration they crown a Royal Court, coonsisting of a Queen, King, and Court of Honor.  The Queen and King each receive a $1500 scholarship and the Court of Honor each receive a $1000 scholarship.  Click on the name to take you to the Scholarship Site. Fiestas Patrias Mexicanas Essay Contest - The Fiestas Patrias Mexicanas of Bryan/College Station offers a $500 Scholarship. Current application is not available, but will be due May 31, 2024.



CodeWizardsHQ Educational Scholarship

Visual Art ScholarshipThe Visual Art Society is offering two $500 scholarships to high school seniors graduating (by August 2024) from a high school located in Bryan/College Station and who plan a course of study and a career in the visual arts. Applications are due before 5:00 PM, Friday, April 26, 2024. The application form and instructions for submission are available to fill in, download and print by clicking HERE.. 

Commit for Life Scholarship - This scholarship is sponsored by the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center and awards 43 scholarships valued at $60,000.  To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, your school must host a minimum of 2 blood drives per school year (CVHS does) and the student must be an active member of the blood drive team.  You do not have to donate to apply for this scholarship. You will need to submit either a 500-1000 word essay or create a 30-60 second video on the topics provided for that year.  Entries are due by March 17, 2024.
